Use file positions instead of printed page labels
Count from the first page of the PDF, including covers and blank pages. A sheet printed with the number 1 may be the third page of the file. Check the thumbnails before entering numbers. Keep the original download separately and work on a copy you are authorized to edit. Rewriting a signed document can invalidate certificate signatures, even when the visible pages look unchanged.
Add one copy next to each selected page
Use Duplicate Pages for this operation. Select page 2 in a four-page document and the output is 1,2,2,3,4: five pages, with the copy immediately after its original. Select pages 2 and 4 and the result is 1,2,2,3,4,4: six pages. The original pages remain. Check the output-order preview before processing. Selecting the same original twice does not create two additional copies; the selection is treated as unique page numbers.
Use Organize PDF for repeated or moved copies
Organize PDF accepts the complete output sequence. For two extra copies of page 2 in a four-page file, enter 1,2,2,2,3,4. To keep the original document and append a copy of page 2, enter 1,2,3,4,2. Include every original page you want to keep: entering only 2,2,2 creates an output containing only those three repetitions. This is why a selection of pages to duplicate and a complete output sequence must not be confused.
Check the count and order before printing
For Duplicate Pages, expected output count equals the original page count plus the number of distinct selected pages. For Organize PDF, count the entries in your complete sequence. Download and open the result, checking each repeated page and the pages immediately before and after it. Copying pages does not promise to duplicate document-level bookmarks or create independent interactive form fields. For a signed, fillable or bookmarked PDF, retain the original and review those features separately.
If you only need extra paper copies
Your PDF viewer’s print dialog may let you select a page range and a copy count without editing the file at all. Check collating and duplex settings: the order of printed sheets may differ from the order you intended. If the PDF itself contains an unwanted duplicate, use Delete Pages after visually identifying its position. Duplicate Pages adds copies; it does not automatically detect or remove matching pages.
