About this edit pdf tool

Choose Add text and drawings for visual additions, layers, undo and redo, or Rewrite existing text to replace supported source fragments. Rewriting supports standard unembedded Latin fonts with WinAnsi encoding, up to 20 pages and 200 fragments; replacements must fit the original width. Embedded fonts, text arrays and Form XObjects are unsupported. Hindi additions use browser shaping and export as images.

When to use this tool

Add text or drawings, or replace supported existing Latin text fragments in a PDF.

From file to finished in three steps

  1. Choose your PDF file from your device.
  2. Add content with the toolbar, drag it into position and resize with the red corner. Select a layer to change its properties. Review every page before saving.
  3. Select Save PDF, review the result and download your file.

Before you download

Why can some existing PDF text not be rewritten?

Rewriting currently supports standard unembedded Latin fonts and direct text fragments. Embedded fonts, text arrays and Form XObjects are unsupported. Longer replacements must fit the original width.

Where is my document processed?

Document processing runs in your browser. This tool does not upload your document for processing. Optional analytics measures page visits only after you allow it; it does not receive your document content. Read the privacy policy.
