What a merged PDF keeps

Every page of every file is copied in the order of your list. A one-page cover letter, a two-page CV and a three-page set of certificates give you one six-page PDF in exactly that order. Each page keeps its own size and orientation, so an A4 form next to a Letter page stays as it is, and text remains selectable.

You can combine up to 40 PDFs at once, 50 MB in total, into a result of up to 500 pages. The files are joined in this browser tab and never uploaded. Password-protected PDFs need to be unlocked first.

How to merge PDF files

Select at least two PDFs from your device. Use editable copies and keep any digitally signed originals.
Use the up and down arrows to arrange files in reading order. All pages in each file are included; use Extract Pages first if you only need part of a document.
Choose Merge PDF, download the combined file and check the page count and transitions between documents.

A practical example

For a six-page application, put a one-page cover letter first, a two-page CV second and a three-page portfolio last. The result should have six pages in that order. Mixed A4 and Letter page sizes are retained.

How do I control the order of merged PDFs?

Reorder the selected files before running Merge PDF. Each file contributes all its pages in their existing order. Extract selected pages first if you only need part of a file.

Can I combine PDFs without sending them to a server?

Yes. This browser Merge PDF tool processes your files on this device. It needs no account. The separate MCP merge service uses an explicit server upload; choose the browser tool when local processing is your priority.

Will merging preserve digital signatures, bookmarks and forms?

Do not rely on it for document-level features. Pages and their visible contents are copied into a new PDF, but certificate signatures cannot remain valid on that new document. Bookmarks and interactive form behavior may not carry over. Keep original signed or interactive files and inspect the merged copy.

How do I merge PDF files on my phone?
