Why duplicate a page in a PDF?

Usually you need one extra page, not a second document: a form that must include the declaration page twice, an ID or certificate page an office wants printed twice, or a page you want to mark up while a clean original stays right beside it.

The page itself is copied, so text stays selectable and the copy looks exactly like the original. Nothing is re-scanned or turned into an image. The copy reuses the original page’s content, so the file size usually changes very little. One task can create up to 500 output pages from files up to 50 MB.

How to duplicate a page in a PDF

  1. Choose the PDF from your device. It opens in this browser tab and is not uploaded.
  2. Tap the thumbnail of each page to copy, or type page numbers such as 2,4 or a range such as 2-4 (lowest number first). Count from the first page of the file, including its cover.
  3. Check “Your output page order”, select Duplicate pages and download the new PDF. Each selected page now has one copy immediately after it.

Download the three-page PDF and select page 2. The expected four-page order is 1 → 2 → 2 → 3. The two middle pages should have the same heading; pages 1 and 3 remain.

The result was generated on 7 October 2026 with PaperLumo’s Duplicate Pages processor and checked for four pages. To duplicate a PDF page multiple times, use Organize PDF with the complete sequence 1,2,2,2,3. That example produces five pages; omitted pages are excluded. Download the tested five-page result. Page 2 appears three times; the output was checked for five pages on 7 October 2026.

A practical example

A four-page file with pages 2 and 4 selected becomes 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 4. All original pages remain. To create the custom sequence 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 4 instead, use Organize PDF.

Copy a PDF page, repeat it, or remove an existing copy?

Add one copy immediately after a page
Select its thumbnail here. The output-order preview shows the extra copy before you process the file. For pages 2 and 4 in a four-page PDF, the final order is 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 4.
Repeat a page several times or move its copy
Use Organize PDF and enter the complete sequence, for example 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 4. Repeating 2,2 in this tool’s selection does not add two copies: each selected original is copied once.
Remove duplicate pages already in a file
Review the pages and use Delete Pages for the unwanted page positions. This tool adds copies; it does not compare pages or automatically detect duplicates. Count from the PDF’s first page, even when printed page labels use a different numbering scheme.
Where are the duplicates inserted?

One copy is inserted immediately after each selected page. Use Organize PDF if you need a different sequence or more repeated copies.

Can I insert several copies or put a copy at the end?

Duplicate Pages inserts one copy after each selected original. For another position or several repetitions, use Organize PDF and enter the complete output sequence. In Organize PDF, pages omitted from that sequence are excluded.

Does this find or remove existing duplicate pages?

No. It deliberately adds copies of the pages you select. To remove an unwanted duplicate, review the document and use Delete Pages with its page number. Printed page labels can differ from the actual position in the PDF.

How do I duplicate a page in a PDF on my phone?

Open this page in your phone’s browser, choose the PDF from Files or Downloads, tap the thumbnail of the page you need and download the result. No app or account is needed. Very large PDFs can take longer to show their thumbnails on older phones.

Can I duplicate the whole PDF?

Select all pages here to get every page twice in a row: 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3. To repeat the complete document in order instead, open Organize PDF and enter 1-3,1-3 for a three-page file. The result is 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3.
