A measured 100 KB and 200 KB example
We tested one synthetic, image-only A4 page with light paper texture and small text. The original is 742,599 bytes. Download the same files below to compare the letters, reference number and small-text box yourself. This sample contains no personal information.

- 100 KB target: 92,908 bytes (90.7 KB), one page, target reached. Download this output.
- 200 KB target: 155,633 bytes (152.0 KB), one page, target reached. Download this output.
Measured on with the production processor in our test runtime. Both exported pages were rendered and visually reviewed; text and the small-text box remained readable in this sample. These are image-only files, without selectable text. Browser encoders and other documents can produce different sizes.
Check the units as well as readability
Choose 100, 200 or 500 KB using the presets, or enter a custom target. The default is 1 KB = 1,024 bytes: 100 KB is 102,400 bytes and 200 KB is 204,800 bytes. For portals using 1,000-byte KB, select that unit to target 100,000 or 200,000 bytes instead. The result shows its actual bytes and whether it fits the selected limit. Compare against your portal’s requirement and leave room below its limit. Never remove required pages or accept illegible text just to make a file smaller.

A practical example
For a two-page scan that must fit a 200 KB upload limit, enter 200 and run the size search. The tool tries lossless work first and then tests raster settings; it reports whether a tested result fits.
Check the result
Compare the reported bytes with the portal limit and read small labels at normal zoom. Raster output removes text selection, forms and links; keep the original for future editing.
If the result is not right
If no tested result fits, remove genuinely unnecessary pages or improve the source scan. A long or detailed document may not fit a tiny limit legibly. The tool does not promise an exact size.
Before you download
Can every PDF be compressed to 100 KB?
No. Complex or long documents may not fit without becoming unreadable. The tool reports whether the target was reached; raster compression supports up to 20 pages and removes selectable text.
