Only this conversion uploads your file to this site’s conversion server. Temporary input and output files are deleted after processing; crash leftovers are swept after one hour. No external AI service is used.

Password-protected files, macros, embedded objects and linked files are unsupported. Web and email links are fine. Maximum output: 500 pages / 40 MB.

What carries over from your document

The PDF follows the page setup of your document: an A4 Word file gives A4 pages, a manual page break starts a new PDF page, and headers are included. The text stays selectable and searchable in the PDF.

Conversion runs with LibreOffice on our server, not Microsoft Word, so fonts the server does not have are replaced and long documents can break pages slightly differently. Web and email links stay clickable in the PDF.

How to convert Word to PDF

  1. Save the document as .docx, up to 20 MB. Older .doc and macro-enabled .docm files are not supported.
  2. Select the file, confirm the temporary upload and choose Convert to PDF.
  3. Download the PDF and check headings, tables, page breaks and the last page before you send it.

A practical example

To share a finished DOCX proposal, convert it here and send the PDF. Keep the DOCX for later edits: if a substituted font moved a page break, fix it in the document and convert again.

Can I convert old DOC or macro-enabled Word files?

This converter accepts DOCX only, up to 20 MB. Legacy DOC, encrypted, macro-enabled and externally linked documents are unsupported. Fonts and complex layouts may differ from Microsoft Word.

Why was my Word document rejected?

Files are refused when they contain macros, embedded objects or content linked from another file (such as a linked image or template), are password-protected, or are not a genuine .docx. Ordinary web and email links are fine. Remove the other items on a copy, save it as .docx and try again.

Do I need Microsoft Word to convert DOCX to PDF?

No. You only need a web browser on a computer or phone. The file is uploaded temporarily after you confirm, converted with LibreOffice and deleted after processing.

Where is my document processed?

Conversion requires your confirmed temporary upload to our isolated server. Temporary files are deleted after processing; see the privacy policy for cleanup and hosting limits. Optional analytics measures visits and tool events only after you allow it; it does not receive your document content or filenames. Read the privacy policy.
