When to use this tool

Create JPG copies for systems that reject PNG or WebP images.

A practical example

Convert a PNG or WebP photo to JPG when an upload form requires JPEG. Choose a quality level and review the new white background where the input had transparency.

Check the result

Zoom in on text and edges, then check the output size against the receiving site’s limit. JPG is lossy and does not support a transparent background.

If the result is not right

If transparency is required, use PNG instead. Repeatedly saving a JPG at lower quality can accumulate artifacts; always start each attempt from the best available original.
