What your PDF will contain

Each slide becomes one PDF page in slide order, at the slide’s own shape: a 16:9 deck gives wide pages and a 4:3 deck gives squarer ones. Slide text remains selectable and searchable, so readers can copy a heading or find a word in the PDF.

Only the slides are exported. Speaker notes, animations, transitions, audio and video playback do not carry over, because a PDF is a static document. If you need notes pages or several slides per sheet for printing, create that layout in your presentation app first.

How to convert PPTX to PDF

  1. Save your presentation as .pptx and select a file up to 20 MB. Older .ppt and macro-enabled files are not supported.
  2. Confirm the temporary upload, then select Convert to PDF. The converter uses LibreOffice; it does not require Microsoft Office on this device.
  3. Preview the first page, download the PDF and inspect every slide for font changes, missing artwork and clipped text before sharing.

A practical example

For a training deck, convert the PPTX to a static PDF handout. Check diagrams and slide titles at full size. If the attachment is too large, try lossless PDF compression after conversion.

One slide per PDF page
Use this converter for a static copy of the slide deck. Open the output and check slide titles, diagrams and the final page; a successful conversion does not establish that every visual effect survived.
Several slides per printed sheet or speaker notes
Use the handout or notes-page options in your presentation app before printing to PDF. This converter has no controls for notes pages or two-, four- or six-slide handouts.
Fonts, animations or media change
PDF is a static document: transitions, animation timing, audio and video playback do not carry over. Replace unusual fonts or complex effects in the source deck, or export from its original presentation app when exact appearance matters.
Will animations and every font survive conversion?

PDF is a static document, so animations do not play. LibreOffice rendering may substitute fonts or change complex layouts. Review the output; input must be PPTX.

Can I convert a PPT file by renaming it to PPTX?

No. Renaming a file does not change its format. Open the older presentation in PowerPoint or LibreOffice and save a genuine PPTX copy first. Password-protected files, macros, embedded objects and linked files are unsupported; ordinary web links on slides are fine.

Why do fonts or slide layouts look different?

The server may not have the fonts used in your presentation, and LibreOffice can render complex effects differently from PowerPoint. Use common fonts and simpler layouts, then compare the downloaded PDF with the source. Animations, video playback and slide transitions are not preserved as interactive effects.

Can I convert PPTX to PDF without PowerPoint?

Yes. The conversion runs with LibreOffice on our server, so you only need a web browser on a computer or phone. Microsoft PowerPoint and Office do not need to be installed. The file is uploaded temporarily after you confirm, and deleted after processing.

Where is my document processed?

Conversion requires your confirmed temporary upload to our isolated server. Temporary files are deleted after processing; see the privacy policy for cleanup and hosting limits.
