PPTX to PDF: fix changed fonts and choose the right handout

Choose slides, notes or handouts before converting
A normal slide PDF is for reading one slide per page. A notes-page PDF includes the presenter’s written notes; a handout places several slides on a printed sheet. PaperLumo converts PPTX to static slide pages and has no controls for notes pages or two-, four- or six-slide handouts. For those layouts, use Print in your presentation app, select its Notes Pages or Handouts option and print to PDF. Review that output for any presenter notes you did not intend to share.
Fix font substitution in the source deck
If line breaks move or text overflows, compare the same slide in the source app and the converted PDF. A server may not have your custom font, and another renderer can measure text differently. On a copy of the deck, replace unusual fonts with a suitable common font, allow space around headings and check text boxes. Embedding a font in a presentation does not guarantee another application can use it. When exact appearance is essential, export from the original presentation app and compare that result too.
Turn animated explanations into readable static slides
A PDF does not reproduce animation timing, slide transitions or audio/video playback. Overlapping objects that appear one at a time in a presentation may be confusing in a static copy. Make a sharing copy with the essential steps on separate slides, label a diagram’s stages and replace a video-dependent instruction with a short explanation or reviewed still image. Check which objects are actually visible after export rather than assuming the last animation frame will become the PDF.
Check diagrams, numbers and the final slide
Compare the downloaded PDF with the deck slide by slide. Check small chart labels, symbols, transparent shapes and cropped pictures, then inspect the first and last slide titles and the page count. A successful conversion means a PDF was produced, not that every design element is identical. Do not rely on the first-page preview alone. Prepare a supported file and a readable attachment
Use one genuine PPTX up to 20 MB. Open an older PPT in a presentation app and save it as PPTX; renaming its extension is not enough. Encrypted, macro-enabled and externally linked files are unsupported. The converter uploads only after your consent for temporary server processing. If the finished PDF is too large for email, try lossless compression first. Image compression can make small slide text harder to read and removes selectable text, so keep the original and inspect any smaller copy.
